A global sports tournament called the Unity Games 2019 will be held in Dubai from 24 to 29 December. This is a one-of-a-kind event, and all Jamaats are invited to register teams to take part.

Organisers said the event will ‘bring together our international community in a central location to meet, greet as well as compete in a sporting environment. Dubai is an excellent central location with exceptional sporting facilities.’

The Unity Games 2019 will strengthen ties and build bridges between all Khoja communities, and encourage youth in voluntary service across the communities.

Thanks to the many Jamaats and Federations that will be involved, participants will be able to develop a better understanding of the structure and the role of Jamaats and Federations, thereby strengthening their existence.

Events

There are many different events available for both women and men. Women will be able to compete in football, netball, badminton, table tennis, volleyball and Scrabble.

Men can compete in football, volleyball, cricket, badminton, tennis, table tennis, golf and cycling.

To ensure the events are fair for all, the participating players must belong to the team’s Jamaat.

Accommodation, food and transport will be provided for all players and officials for the duration of the event.

Business Networking

There will also be a Khoja Professional and Entrepreneurs Networking Event coinciding with the Games. There will be a networking conference, keynote speaker and a tour to the Expo 2020 Pavilion.

There are a number of sponsorship opportunities available. The Platinum Exclusive Partner package costs US$25,000, the Platinum Exclusive Ladies Partner package costs US$25,000, the Diamond Partner Package costs US$20,000, the Gold Partner package costs US$10,000, and the Silver Partner Package costs US$5,000.

The Unity Games 2019 will be a showcase of Khoja sporting and business excellence, and a fantastic opportunity to make connections and friends from Jamaats across the world.
