With the blessings of the holy month of Ramadhan and by the grace and blessings of Allah (SWT), the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful we are pleased to report on the Afed Business Park project which is progressing at a good pace. There are however some minor challenges arising due to the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic. Thankfully, we are able to overcome these challenges with more efforts and creativity to ensure very little disruption in the project.
Regular site meetings are held to check on the progress focussing on key areas by planning the meeting according to the areas of work involving the main contractor, engineers and the architect while the meeting with the sub-contractors are held on different alternative days, this has proved to be more productive.
At present, the plaster works is 90% complete and continuing in line with project plan. The electrical and finishing works have started and are progressing well. We anticipate some delays in supply of finishing materials but hopefully we shall overcome this with the support of the suppliers.
Close monitoring and regular visits to the work sites makes positive impact on the project performance and delivery.

The Contractor has been working with grater determination to ensure good quality of workmanship and timely completion of the project, which has been consistent with the timeline of the project since its inception.
This project is a continuation of the envisioned journey of the Africa Federation towards developing sustainable capital project investments which generates income in making our Organization self-sufficient which is geared to assist the growth of our Community.
We are thankful to all our well-wishers, the Africa Federation office bearers, the Housing Development Board members, Architects, Engineers, Contractor and Sub-Contractors for their good cooperation and support making it possible for us to reach to this stage of the project. We pray to Allah (SWT) for His grace and blessing to complete this project successfully on time, Insha’allah.
