Dr. Asgarali Moledina

WF Representative

Dr. Asgarali Moledina is the immediate Past President of The World Federation of Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Muslim Communities.

Born and bred in Mombasa he started his service to the community and humanity as a student there. He continued this voluntary work while pursuing his medical studies in Mumbai, back in Kenya, then in Uganda, Mozambique, South Africa and USA.

Highest office

He has served as Presidents of Kampala and Maputo Jamaat, as a Trustee for many years at AFED, as head of CBB & Vice President of Africa Federation (2004-2007) and then rising to the highest office in the community as President of The World Federation (2009-2017).

Under the leadership of the late Mulla Asgherali M M Jaffer he led the very first Haj Medical Mission in 1977 to serve the hujjajs. He has initiated projects in education, housing, economic upliftment, tableegh and Islamic education in the community. His passion for Bilal work and enhancement of Islamic education led to the establishment of the BLESS project in Bilal and MCE project at WF.

Building harmony

His love for humanity and our Khoja community has been the prime motivation and drive for success in the service of the creator. May ALLAH (S.W.T.) accept his minute deeds. He has continued to build harmony and unity among the regions and succeeded with his team in ensuring that all worldwide Khoja communities are regional members of The World Federation.

He was appointed as a Councilor by the current President of The World Federation in May 2017 and continues to work in close liaison with the current WF team for the progress and prosperity of our community and in the service of humanity at large.
