A grand opening ceremony has been held for a water well donated by Khojas in Mozambique.
The pump in a rural area near Nampula was donated by the Shia Ithna Asheri Jamaat- Nampula in the name of Hazrat Ali Asgar (as) – the son of Imam Hussein (as).
Villagers were thrilled to see fresh water flowing and a large crowd attended the ceremony.
The clean supply will be a great benefit to improving villagers’ health.
The event took place on 26 October, as recorded by a plaque affixed to the pump.
